DIY Wedding Party Favors
One of the more pleasant tasks associated with arranging a wedding is deciding on what wedding favors to have for the guests. Many options now exist to fit almost any budget including DIY wedding party favors (and even timescale if you are in a hurry). With this in mind, it should be one less item you have to worry about for your big day because your favors might just be a phone call away.
An easy wedding favor option is flowers which really don’t take much to arrange but guests can enjoy. The big plus with this option is the ease and speed with which flowers can be organized.
Red roses always look attractive and of course they don’t have to be wrapped like many other flowers. It is a simple matter of asking one of your family to place the roses just before everyone is seated at the wedding reception table.
These days the favorite is using candy and almost three quarters of events will use this as an easy wedding favor which can be enhanced by using a presentation tin. I like the idea that a number of receptions have started to use where the costly centerpiece is done away with completely. This can be accomplished by using large bowls filled with different types of candy as the centerpieces on each table.
You can then provide each wedding guest with a small bag and a note encouraging them to enjoy the candy in the centerpiece. All you have to do is let each guest have the option to take whatever candy they like and you won’t have anything more to do. The perfect DIY wedding party favor!
If you prefer not to give your guests more to eat then another option is a small picture frame and if you like, it can be used on the day as placeholders. Although presentation is everything, there are ways around wrapping wedding favors and picture frames are an ideal example of how you can avoid this task. Almost all receptions have place names at the tables for the guests so this is an ideal way to present the frame without the need to spend time and more money on wrapping paper which will only be discarded.
One of my favorite and easy DIY wedding party favors is to supply every guest with a picture of themselves arriving at the wedding reception using the services of a professional photographer armed with a digital camera. If he brings along a printer you can distribute the photos before your guests begin to leave the reception. As everyone will be looking at their best this is a wedding favor they will really enjoy; seeing themselves this way in a professional photo. As a little extra you could ask the photographer if he could bring along a small projector and have a slide show during the reception when guest can see the photos he has taken.
